K.I.
I have been involved in a wide variety of tasks since joining the company. At first, I worked on the cloud server help desk for about four to five years. I was then appointed as sub-leader and acted as an assistant project manager. Afterwards, I worked on the help desk of a major construction equipment leasing company, and I am now involved in Consultant projects.
My main job is to provide services that meet customer needs and provide ITSM-related business support to manage those services. I am in charge of several projects, such as improving business processes and creating definitions for configuration management. Basically, my job involves identifying issues through interviews with customers and making proposals to address those issues.
Our strength in this field is upstream process Consultant, such as definition of ITSM-related requirements and definition of processes. I am in a position where I can act relatively freely and independently to address the challenges faced by our customers, without being limited by the boundaries of services and processes.
One day, a major transportation company for which I provide Consultant services expressed the desire to change their existing in-house system to a more cost-effective system. I then took every approach possible before delivering the system; for example, I investigated the new system and actually built a system to demonstrate for the customer. This is an important customer with whom the ID Group has had a long relationship and a large transaction amount. The customer is a trusted partner in ITSM, and I am proud to have the opportunity to handle their work.
In the IT industry, new technologies are born every day, so it is essential to have the latest knowledge when making proposals to customers. There is some knowledge that can only be gained through actual experience, not just reading books. In fact, regardless of seniority, our members are in the habit of trying new things and learning new techniques. This is a form of self-improvement which members undertake even outside of their assigned duties.
At one time, I had wanted to work at a relaxed pace as an in-house system engineer. However, now that I have discovered the appeal of using cutting-edge knowledge and technology to support customers, I want to continue studying in a wide range of fields. Of course, I am also interested in management, and I don’t want to stop growing my technical knowledge. I would like to increase my knowledge in areas such as networks and IT infrastructure so that I can provide a wide range of support to customers.
