For more than 50 years since our founding in 1969, the ID Group has been operating at the forefront of our industry. Under our mission of “we are an information service company dedicated to the creation of an exciting (Waku-Waku) future for everyone ,” we pursue work that brings Waku-Waku to our customers and employees.

  • Establishment

    We established the ID Group based on our desire “to create an information processing company with an independent, neutral and free corporate culture. ”

  • First class of new graduates joined the company.
  • Introduced a special summer leave system.
  • Introduced a five-day workweek system and a refreshment leave system.
  • Held ID Salon for the first time
    Even today, the internal social gathering “ID Salon” is held every month. It is a valuable opportunity to internally share the current status and the future of the ID Group.
  • Established a software production base in China.

    We secured outstanding human resources in an area with many science and engineering universities. The production base began by handling open system development with stable development power, and later became a hub for web development.

  • Mana-chan birth .

    Mana-chan is the ID Group mascot who is modeled after the North American manatee, which is a threatened species. We launched Mana-chan as part of our efforts to conserve
    the global environment.

     
  • Started the Exchange Training Program.

  • Established a representative office
    in Amsterdam.

    The Netherlands has the third highest number of Japanese companies in Europe, behind only England and Germany. Our representative office in Amsterdam is an important base for globalization by the ID Group.

  • Made FESS Co., Ltd. as a consolidated subsidiary.
  • Established DX CONSULTING CO., LTD.
  • Changed the trade name of FESS Co., Ltd. to “ID DATA CENTER MANAGEMENT CO., LTD.”
  • Listed on the Prime Market, which is the top section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange.
  • Designated as a 2023 Certified Health & Productivity Management Outstanding Organization (Large Enterprise Category) for the 5th year in a row.

    We do business with more than 1,000 companies, mainly major social infrastructure companies. We have established an environment for interacting directly with each customer and making optimal proposals. Projects for system operation and management, which is a stock business (= a business model that makes a profit with a continuous contract instead of a single shot), comprise a high ratio of our total business at almost 50%, and performance is stable.

    The ID Group provides one-stop IT services, including IT consulting, system infrastructure and software development, system operation and management, and cybersecurity. We do business with customers in a wide range of industries such as finance, energy, and transportation.

    In the software development field, we build systems that meet the development needs of customer. The task of building systems does not end with development; instead, the value of a system is only realized if it constantly runs correctly. We must maintain a status in which customers can immediately conduct business, monitor and manage system operation on a daily basis, and perform troubleshooting when problems occur. We must also detect issues and problems for system failure and system usage in advance and then propose solutions. In the IT infrastructure field, we handle everything from design and construction to operation and maintenance of the infrastructure environment (server, cloud). In cybersecurity, we are affiliated with major overseas vendors to provide integrated services spanning from the provision of various security products and consulting to the construction, installation, operation, and support of security environments.

    In order to constantly provide high-quality services, we value the three traits of “technical skills,” “human skills,” and “stance and mindset.”

     

    The first trait of technical skills refers to IT technical skills. IT fields such as hardware, software, networks, and security are evolving every day. The ID Group responds to such evolution by providing diverse training and learning opportunities, and constantly refines our skills.

    2The second strength is human skills, which is the ability to engage with people. Examples of human skills are communication skills for accurately ascertaining customer problems and issues, logical thinking, and presentation skills for accurately conveying information. These are extremely important skills in any type of work. Combining both IT skills and human skills is essential for becoming an engineer with high market value.

    The third strength is stance and mindset. This refers to a person’s attitude when dealing with matters. Instead of being passive, actively taking the initiative and being resolute is a major driving force for growth.
